Custom Service

Made-to-Measure & Full Bespoke Suit Manufacturing

From a single custom suit to a full bespoke programme: we produce garments to individual body measurements, in full canvas or half canvas construction, with plus size and extended sizing available.

Three Ways to Sell Custom

Choose the Service Level That Matches Your Price Point

The same factory can support a value MTM range and a premium bespoke programme. What changes is the pattern work, the construction and the finishing — not the discipline of sampling and inspection.

Made-to-Measure (MTM)

Your customer sends body measurements, we produce to their exact numbers using an existing block adapted per individual. This is the model most brands use to sell custom suits online without holding stock in every size.

  • Sold from a size chart or an online configurator
  • Individual measurements applied per order
  • Usually shorter production than full bespoke
  • Mixed sizes and measurements can ship in one carton

Full Bespoke & Full Canvas

A dedicated pattern is developed for the customer, and the jacket is built with a floating canvas rather than being fused. This is the highest level of construction we produce and the strongest story for a premium brand.

  • Individual pattern, not an adjusted block
  • Full canvas construction with floating chest piece
  • Hand-finished details available
  • Longer development time, priced accordingly

Brand MTM Programme

For brands that want to offer custom sizing at volume: we freeze your block, keep your size chart and fabric references on file, and produce to a repeatable specification so every reorder matches.

  • Your block and size chart archived per customer
  • Repeat orders matched to the approved sample
  • Private label with your own labels and packaging
  • Plus size and extended grading built in

Process

How a Custom Programme Runs

  1. 01

    Choose the Service Level

We agree whether the programme is MTM from measurements, full bespoke, or a fixed size-chart range.

  2. 02

    Collect Body Measurements

You supply measurements using our point-of-measure sheet, or your own measurement form if you already have one.

  3. 03

    Fabric & Trim Selection

Fabric, lining, buttons, lapel, pocket and stitching options are chosen for the price point you are selling at.

  4. 04

    Pattern Development

We adapt an existing block or develop a new pattern from the measurements and fit direction.

  5. 05

    Sample & Fit Approval

A sample or fitting garment is produced so the fit is approved before any bulk cutting takes place.

  6. 06

    Construction

Full canvas, half canvas or fused construction is built to the approved specification.

  7. 07

    Pressing & Finishing

Jackets are pressed in stages so the lapel rolls and the finished garment keeps its shape.

  8. 08

    Inspection & Individual Packing

Each garment is measured against its own order sheet, then packed and labelled per customer.

Measurement Guide

What We Need to Cut a Garment to a Body

Measurements are the part of a custom programme that cannot be fixed later, so we work from a written point-of-measure sheet rather than an improvised list. If you already have your own measurement form, send it and we will map it to our pattern room.

  • Neck / collar size
  • Chest circumference
  • Shoulder width
  • Sleeve length and bicep
  • Wrist / cuff measurement
  • Jacket length (front and back)
  • Waist and hip
  • Trouser waist and rise
  • Thigh and knee
  • Inseam and outseam
  • Hem width and trouser opening
  • Posture notes (stoop, erect, sloping shoulder)

Not sure how to measure consistently?

We provide a measurement guide with a diagram for each point, so your staff or your customer’s tailor measure the same way every time. Consistent measurement is what keeps return rates down in a custom business.

Construction

Full Canvas, Half Canvas or Fused

Construction is the clearest difference between a garment that looks expensive for a season and one that keeps its shape for years. We produce all three and will tell you honestly what each one costs you.

Full Canvas

A floating canvas and horsehair chest piece sewn into the jacket. Best drape and lapel roll, longest garment life, highest cost — the right choice for premium and bespoke programmes.

Half Canvas

Canvas through the chest with a fused lower front. Most of the look and feel of full canvas at a lower cost, and the construction we recommend for most brand programmes.

Full Fused

Interlining bonded to the fabric. The most economical construction and perfectly serviceable for volume, uniform and value ranges where dry cleaning is limited.

Size Range

Plus Size and Extended Grading as Standard

A large share of the custom market sits outside a standard size chart, and a programme that stops at XL loses a large part of that demand. We build plus size and oversize grading into the pattern from the start rather than adding it after the sample is approved.

  • Extended chest and waist ranges graded from the same block
  • Proportion adjustments for length, rise and sleeve
  • Separate casual and relaxed blocks where the fit differs
  • Women’s grading produced alongside men’s for uniform programmes
  • Fit corrections recorded per customer and reused on reorders

FAQ

Custom Production Questions

What is the difference between made-to-measure and bespoke?

Made-to-measure adjusts an existing pattern block to the customer’s measurements. Bespoke develops a new individual pattern and is normally built with full canvas construction. We produce both, and the choice is usually driven by the price point you are selling at.

Can we sell custom suits online using measurements from our customers?

Yes. This is the most common MTM programme we run. You collect measurements using our point-of-measure sheet and send them with the order; each garment is cut and sewn to that individual data.

What is the minimum order for a custom programme?

Custom and MTM orders start from a single piece for many styles. Bulk production pricing starts at a higher quantity per style and colour, which is confirmed when we quote.

Do you produce plus size and oversize garments?

Yes. Plus size and oversize grading is a normal part of our production. Please tell us the size range you sell so we build the grading correctly from the start.

How do you handle fit problems after delivery?

Fabric has a small amount of inlay allowance in the seams so garments can usually be let out or taken in by a local tailor. If a measurement is outside the agreed tolerance, we resolve it by repair, remake or replacement as agreed.
